Animations

Various animations I recently created, many of them as private projects and solely for the love of animation.

"Memories from before", best experienced with sound, was created for an animation project and has since been featured in a local cinema alongside other promoted short animations.

This digital work was a solo project by me, completely with design, animation, after-production and music.

Magic Fire:

This short animation was created to test out Opentoonz and to continue the never-ending quest of getting better at animating hands.

Plus some fire, because thats fun to make.

Fireflies:

A short, roughly made loop of a witch working on her spell.

This animation was done purely for fun—

I really enjoy animating effects like this.

Also, my hand animation practice continues relentlessly.

Adventure gang run cylces:

Some run cycles I did a few years back!

These are actually the characters of a DnD Session I played at - I was the halfling getting dragged along ofcourse.

Bug Queen:

Rough only of a bug monster reveal.

I believe that I can learn a lot about movement, form and timing by animating roughs, this is why I sometimes only animate that part for training.

Brewing Cauldron:

A short loop of yet another witch.

I like to experiment with different styles or limited colour-palettes.

Limitation makes room for creativity.

The chase:

My part of a larger animation project.

We wanted to animate with very vibrant colours and hard edges - our visualization of a confusing dream.

In my part, the colour was flushed away, as our protagonist pulled the trigger of his gun.

Witch's hut:

A private project, in which I tested out cinematic camera movement within my animations.

Frame by frame animation has become my favorite medium because when I spend time on every single frame, I have complete control over the outcome. The intention, the thoughts I pour into the work, become pure, human, and personal—a piece of me that I present to you.
